⚫️ 1 thought: What you already own 🪶
I re-heard the idea recently that “The most eco friendly car you can get is the one you already own.”
Which is an awesome concept, really. So obvious. The resources used to make and transport a new car—even if fully electric—are still a drain to the environment and economics.
Let’s not stop there, though. The most eco friendly products you can get are the ones you already own.
Here’s a great example: Seems like water bottles go in and out of trend so fast. Nalgene to Hydro Flask to Yeti to big dumb cups to Owala. As consumers, we can’t keep up. Each iteration has a selling point:
But this one is light!
But this one isn’t plastic, and it’s sweat-proof!
This one has a better sipping experience!
This one is big and dumb!
This one has a straw AND a pouring mechanism!
And even as a minimalist, I am guilty of having a stockpile of purchased and corporate-gifted water and coffee vessels. They’re relentless. No one’s immune.
But anyway. What I’m trying to say is that the next time you find yourself stressing over your next “most eco friendly purchase…” maybe just take a step back and look at what you already own. Just like you are not your car, you are also not your water bottle or recycled denim or fleece made out of 1,000,000 reclaimed pieces of ocean trash.

This is a shameless plug. But if your beloved water bottle needs a little sparkle and shine… the You Got This vinyl, waterproof sticker is a great addition.
(I have a more exciting link below to make up for my plug here.)
⚫️ 1 journal prompt: Track your health 📔
Feeling ick—mental or physical? Spiritual? I find a lot of value out of tracking my health, sleep, and mood in my monthly bullet journal book in my Travelers Notebook.
(Plus in my monthly trackers, I keep a spot for the highlight of the day. Yay, gratitude!)
Either your attention span is impeccable or my post was so compelling. Either way: you rock. Thanks! Hit reply or comment to continue the discussion. I always love to hear from you.
Be safe and well,
🖤 Jenny
